Single Stroke Four
Written as a triplet plus one — land the accent on the beat.

What it is
Four singles with the last one accented, written as a triplet leading into a downbeat. The accent falls on the beat, which makes it a fill ending rather than a stream.
How to practise it
- Count "trip-let-ONE" so the accent lands where the beat is.
- Alternate the lead hand every repetition so both hands learn to land the accent.
- Start where every stroke is deliberate, around 60–80 BPM, and only speed up when it feels boring. When it is clean, take it to the tempo trainer and let trainer mode climb from where you are.
