When Remo Belli started coating Mylar in 1957, he changed drumming more than any shell or cymbal ever has: the synthetic drum head made drums stable, affordable and consistent, and the heads he designed are still the defaults. The Coated Ambassador is the reference snare head, the Emperor adds a ply for toms that need durability and depth, and the Powerstroke practically defines the modern kick drum sound.
