Launched in 1971, the Paiste 2002 series took the CuSn8 bronze of the Giant Beats John Bonham played and turned it into a full range — and effectively defined how rock cymbals sound on record. Bright, glassy, explosive and impossible to bury in a mix, 2002s carried Led Zeppelin, Rush, AC/DC and half the classic rock canon.
