2026 — The Gretsch switch

Announced on 22 January 2026: Eric left DW after years on the roster and joined Gretsch Drums, debuting a Renown kit in Champagne Sparkle. Cymbals, heads, sticks and electronics all stayed put — this was a shell change, not a rebuild.

2020 — Paiste and the GEWA G9

A big year: Eric joined the Paiste family in March 2020, and became one of the first brand ambassadors for GEWA's G9 electronic drum system after helping develop its hi-hat pad. Still on DW shells, and now selling his own DopeStickz sticks.

2012 — Suicidal Tendencies years

Eric's crossover-thrash period, eight years deep into the Suicidal Tendencies chair alongside Infectious Grooves and T.R.A.M. The setup he listed in interviews at the time: DW shells, Octagon cymbals, Pro-Mark sticks and Aquarian heads.
