Bonham Drumheads is now Kitson Drumheads
The independent UK drumhead maker has finished the rebrand it began in September. The name is new, but the team, heads and pricing are said to be unchanged.

A small UK drumhead maker has a new name. Not much else is supposed to change.
Bonham Drumheads is now Kitson Drumheads. The independent, UK-based company made the rebrand official this weekend, according to Drumming News Network, which dates its announcement 24 October. So what does it mean if you already have the heads on your kit?
How did we get here?
The change has been a few weeks in the making. In September the company’s social pages switched to a placeholder name, Rebrand Drumheads, while it chose a permanent one.
DNN ran a preview on 29 September. The company called it a “difficult decision” and said it wouldn’t rush the choice. A few weeks of teasing later, Kitson is the answer.
What stays the same?
According to the company, pretty much everything except the name. The team, the products, the fair pricing, existing artist endorsements and customer support all carry over. Its line in September was “Same people. Same products. Same passion. New name.” The tagline stays as well: “by drummers, for drummers”.
If you own Bonham heads, there’s nothing to suggest you need to do anything. Existing orders were promised to continue as normal.
What we don’t know yet
The company hasn’t said why it changed its name, so we won’t guess.
We also don’t know yet whether Bonham-branded heads and packaging will be sold through or replaced, or whether a new web address is coming. At the time of writing, DNN still links to the old Bonham site. We’ll update this post when we know more.
Final thoughts
A rename is a big job for a small company. If the people and the heads really do stay the same, most drummers won’t notice much beyond a new logo on the box. It’s another reminder that boutique brands are having an eventful autumn, after WFL III Drums paused operations last week.
